A Point of View

Antman's story of his participation in the final Wireplay Summer Sorcerer War... Edited until my eyes hurt. :)

So here's the sorceror war through my eyes.

To start of with I went straight for the wfs in the great gate and then to get either halberd, bh or falchion but the falchion had gone, the Halberd had gone and on my way to get the billhock I found the Halberd imbeded in my back.  I soon defeated my attacker, wasting a lot of magic and a wf, but ending up on 96 health.  So I looked at the obit and no one had actually klilled anyone.

I found a couple of people who had attacked early on my way back and got 2 flees on my way back to the swamp.  I also got the ruby eye and necklace which by itself was worth over 150 points.  I checked the obit to see who was winning and found that still no one had killed another sorcerised person.

My plan from the start had been to find whoever killed someone and kill them as they would have more points and be low on stam.  I then gestured a couple of where spells while still low on magic to see if I could get some more kit and get a hiding place set up.  I also checked the obit and found that someone had just killed another player in the dwarf realm so I quickly ran over there and attacked this person crippling them just before they fled and reattacking (I got 2 flees and a kill out of this person).  The next thing I did, as in the last one 5 minutes before it finished, I decided that I would try and find a permanent place where I could hide and so set it up. I got tmy place sorted after killing the only other person who had made it to the notebook -I read it and destroyed it. I got the umbrella and went and hid in the smuggler's cave and slept for my magic.  I waited here safe in the false knowledge that you had to have read the book to get into this room, completely forgetting that two people could open (My downfall towards the end). So I kept on checking the obit and found out that Johnboy had got the next kill.  Back while waiting for the first death I found out that he had a lot of kit and when I whered him I found him to be in the scriptorium, so I decided I would wait it out a bit longer because I was still probably ahead of him.

The next person died and I went after their killer as to my plan.  I charged off and found them and killed them after reattacking again.I was satisfied by this and went back to my hiding place. On the way back the fox stole my umbrella but at the last sorc bash I found out you could not die by this, so I decided to do a suicide jump and sleep in the smuggler's cave as someone had attacked me on the way back and I had had to eat my last wf and flee on low health.  I decide to wait it out untill I thought that someone may have overtaken me on points and then I would have gone of to try and kill them.

So in my cave I slept and started to play with people - wasting there magic.  I did things like "change dippyduck" and "cripple player" <G>.  I also had a couple of chats and generally had fun down there for about sixty minutes. Always checking on obit. Sixty mins passed and I tried to get Kyric to tell me results but got totally ignored (I'm sure he wasn't being rude but had much more important things to do, like doing his hair or something).  Then suddenly the grate opened and I thought, "Oh dear" (or words to that affect) and thought someone else must have somehow read the book as well so I typed in 'k player wi wp' but they ran out.  I typed close grate just after he came back in.  Then he attacked me so I did my ususal blind foe but he had the amulet. Then Someone attacked me and that's when I decided my perfect hiding place wasn't quite perfect.

Next thing I know I was unsited, blinded, crippled and stuff so I healed my self and typed in a lovely string command to get out but I must have mispelt grate or something as it didn't quite work when I was on about 13 health.  Then panic hit; locked in a room with an invis guy and another sorc who had the amulet.  I started to hit keys at random and made some new words <G>.  Then the famous words came up and I lost my 20K character 100 points more than the actual winner had, about 10 mins before the end <CRY>.

Pretty well exactly the same as last time when my lovely hiding place was in the scriptorium untill I ran into Lumphammer who knows it like the back of his hand.  No better than the back of his hand.
