[Episode List]

Episode 15

"The End is Nigh"
or
"Ouch, That's Gotta Hurt"

Here it is then. Zordell, poisoned. Wdi, driving for his life, Cora, well, she has this really neat bike and... oh yer, chased by a giant. Will the action ever stop?! Will we ever end this dam thing, let’s find out………

Cora
“Ok, ok,” I said to myself as I assessed the situation. Looking around all I see open barren space. Hardly any trees, no civilisation, rocky ground. Nowhere to run to, no where to hide. Looking back, the giant was still coming, doesn’t he even get tired? I could stop and fight him, yes I could do that. I mean it only took 15 of us to take down one before in MUD, and, well ok I’m on my own, but this is Earth, and, oh who am I kidding I’d be killed without laying a punch on him.
Dust was kicking up either side of my bike as I drove straight along the dusty trail, a trail which as far as I knew, led to nowhere. “What am I going to do?” I asked myself. Looking off into the distance the track ‘seemed’ to end. As I drove nearer I realised that not only did the track end, but the ground too - I was nearing a cliff! The only other way, was back, out the way I came, but... the giant was behind me. Turning around I noticed the giant was having a little trouble with the dust I was kicking up. He had his hand covering his eyes, but he was still running at me at full speed An idea struck me, but surely it was too risky, too dangerous. It’s the only way, I decided.
Slowing the bike slightly, the giant got closer, and closer. Going back up to full speed, the giants feet were landing close behind me (perhaps this is a bit too close, I thought). As the cliffs edge came nearer and nearer to me, I looked back once more. The giant, in all his stupidity, was covering his eyes completely with his hand. This was better then I had hoped! The cliff was now very close indeed, and as I slammed on the brakes, the bike began to skid and swerve. With all the strength I could muster I tried to keep it stable. The giants two massive feet landed either side of me as it carried on going at high speed. Its foot finally landed over the cliff edge, and the giant fell to his doom. I myself was nearing the cliff edge too. With one final skid of the back wheel, the bike, with
me on it, screeched to a halt overlooking the cliff. As I turned the engine off, and removed my helmet, I looked down to see how far down it went. There was a dust cloud rising slowly, from way bellow.
“Finally,” I whispered to myself, “now back to kick Joey and Fozs butt for giving me the giant to deal with on my own.”
As I was about to put on my helmet, I saw something strange in the sky. Squinting, I realised what it was. It couldn’t be, could it? There was no time to lose, pulling my helmet down on to my head, and the engine on, I raced back as fast as I could. I only hoped I wasn't too late.

Wdi
“Fighting through dwarfs, killing rats alone, chatting up the maiden. These are all the things that I used to call dangerous, until now,” I said as my front left wheel yet again hit a stone at high speed. Every time I tried to slow my car down, his hit into the back of mine, and so I had to speed up, and when I drove fast, the blasted stones knocked me flying!
“Give me a break will ya,” I shouted back at the man, but he wasn’t listening. My voice echoed against the walls, and more stones fell down from the sides.
Looking around for an exit from this madness, I saw a rather large boulder perching cautiously on some loose rocks. An obvious health hazard, I mean if they were to come down, someone could get very badly injured, even, killed.
I shouted back a warning to the man: “Watch out for that big boulder, it’s not very safe”. Once again the man ignored me, and once again my voice echoed around, with some more rocks hurtling down, but this time, some loose rocks above the boulder also came down. I watched as a chain reaction occured, as rock hit bigger rock, and so forth, until finally the boulder started its journey down. I was either going to crash into it, or it into me! I jumped on the accelerator. “Maybe I can get passed it,” I thought.
Fighting against the stones already on the ground, I struggled to as high a speed as I could. The engine raced like my pulse as the boulder bounced from rock to rock on its way down. Closing my eyes I could only hope that I would make the distance. Hearing the crash of the boulder as it hit, I opened my eyes to find that I made it. As I pulled on the brakes, I turned to see if the man had also. The second, louder and more explosive crash answered that with a definite no...
“Oh well I tried to warn him,” I said to myself. Pulling out a map from inside that car, I found where I was, and plotted a route back into the town. Just as I was ready to go, I spotted something in the sky, moving quite quickly. The sound it made affirmed my suspicions - I had to get back to warn the others!

“I want to see a doctor and I want one now!” I yelled above the sound of complaints at the receptionist desk as I kicked the door open on my way in. Seamus stayed close behind me uncertain of our surroundings, while Zordell
lay unconscious in my arms. A doctor spotted me and came straight over, signalling for a bed to follow. As he reached me he asked me of her condition.
“She’s been poisoned, and has been unconscious like this for about a quarter of an hour. She was bitten in her leg,” I replied motioning to the mark on her bleeding leg. He checked her eyes with a small touch as I lay her on the bed. He called for some technical stuff as he took her away.
“What now?” Seamus asked.
“We wait,” I replied.
A young receptionist came over with a sheet of paper. “You're going to need to answer some questions please” she asked.
“Sure,” I said in a hurry.
“Ok first thing, what is her name?”
I was about to reply 'Zordell' when I realised the reaction that I would get. I mean, Zordell what? What’s her age, where does she come from, medical background, where does she live..? All these questions came into my head. How was I going to answer them?
Just as I was about to say ‘something’ to bide time, the alarm went off in the hospital, but there was another noise, over the sound of the alarm, a sort of roaring noise. I turned quizzically to Seamus who had only one thing to say to me….
“The dragon.”

Didn’t I say you had forgotten something, and I bet you had hadn’t you. Of course the dragon, but, how exactly do you kill a dragon, using Earth rules? Will our heroes end up as one big flame grilled surprise? And is Zordell going to make it? Find out, in the next, over cooked episode of…..
